Internet Lottery Shut Down
The latest round in the ongoing court battle
between Unistar Entertainment and the government results in another victory for opponents
of online gambling.
The US Lottery, operated by Unistar for the Coeur d'
Alene Indians, is closing after a U.S. District court ordered it to cease operations. The
tribe has asked players "to visit our site one last time and update your account
information and request balance withdrawals by Jan. 10."

KYL Bill
Don't lose your right to gamble on the net.
Help defeat the KYL Bill
Please contact your Senator and email them stating your name, the fact that you are a
registered voter and OPPOSE the KYL BILL!! That is all you need to state in your email.
Senator Kyl has proposed legislation to outlaw gambling on the Internet. Specifically,
this law would make it illegal to take a bet from within the US over the Internet (even if
the person taking the bet is located outside of the US); to place a bet from the US via
the internet; and allow court orders forcing Internet Service Providers (ISP's) to block
access to gaming sites on the Internet. The Kyl Bill threatens freedom of the Internet and
is of grave concern.
THE KYL BILL DOESN'T ONLY AFFECT WEB SITES THAT TAKE BETS.
The Kyl Bill in its current state will outlaw any site that provides gambling information.
This includes handicapping sites, sites that post odds, or any site that gives out any
kind of gambling advice. If you enjoy using any of these sites you will be affected. If
you are a webmaster and you receive advertising revenue from the types of sites mentioned
above you will be affected.
